EV charging provider Alfen has penned a supply agreement with solar installer Joju Solar.
The rolling contract will see Alfen provide UK market stalwart Joju with domestic EV chargers from its Alfen Eve range, forming part of Joju’s wider integrated smart energy offering aimed at UK homes, businesses, communities and public sector organisations.
Chris Jardine, technical director at Joju, said his company had chosen Alfen’s products because of their smart features and proven reliability.
“The multi-level dynamic load balancing functionality they offer is essential for any high quality smart energy installation because it helps to optimise both self-use of renewables and the local grid connection – things which are necessary for a cleaner, cost-effective energy future,” he added.
EV charging has proven a particularly interesting area for solar installers as the two technologies have converged to form a more comprehensive clean energy offering for consumers.
Alex Earl, UK country manager at Alfen, said the company was proud to have been selected by Joju.
“[Joju] has a rare history and pedigree in the UK renewables industry and its customer base and technical understanding reflect that. The work Joju has undertaken with local authorities and community energy projects in particular has been pioneering from both a technical and societal perspective and so, to be chosen, feels like a real testament to our products,” Earl said.
