Viridian announces ‘world first’ EPD for crystalline solar PV module

UK-based roof-integrated solar manufacturer, Viridian Solar, has published an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its Clearline roof-integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) modules.In doing so, the company has said it is the first manufacturer to have its crystalline solar modules certified to a globally recognised standard.

In answer to a question posed by Fergus Ewing MSP in parliament earlier this week, Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, recognised the significant contribution solar could make in decarbonising Scotland’s energy supply, and told the chamber that a “clear vision” for the future development of solar will be presented in early January.
