Foresight Solar Fund has completed the acquisition of a 37MW solar farm based on a disused airfield in Kencot, Oxfordshire.
The array was connected to the grid in September 2014 and received a 1.4 ROC certificate, with Foresight receiving all revenue generated by the site since it started operations.
The acquisition takes Foresight’s solar portfolio to 231MW and the company confirmed all of its assets had received ROC accreditation prior to Tuesday's deadline.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed, however Foresight did confirm that it is currently considering purchasing other assets that form part of a “significant pipeline” that it has exclusivity over.
New additions to the yield-co investment fund’s portfolio will be funded by its recent equity issue which bolstered its acquisition facility to around £100m.
