Fresh from launching its domestic storage business, Mercedes-Benz Energy has enrolled Innasol as one of its partner companies to help with the distribution, servicing and maintenance its units.

Mercedes-Benz owner Daimler confirmed the launch of Mercedes-Benz Energy and its storage units last month and at the time said it was lining up three distribution partners in the UK, as well as looking to certify installers.

Solar distributor Innasol will distribute the batteries and service and maintain them, and the company has also been actively training installers to work with the products since the start of the year.

Innasol said that by the end of Q1 2017 it had trained 50 installers at its education facility in Essex and Stuart Gibson, sales director at Innasol, said the partnership was opening up new markets for the company to explore.

“We have started by harnessing our existing partner network [and] training those partners who already specialise in solar PV so they’re able revisit their existing client base, as well as bringing new specialist solar PV partners on board. It is an honour to be working with another technology advanced product and of course, such a reputable brand,” Gibson said.

Innasol also said that its “gut feeling” was that it would be looking to expand its business to cater for demand for domestic units “very soon”.
