German PV manufacturer Solarwatt has partnered with Clever Energy Solutions to continue its growth in the renewables sector across the UK and Ireland.
Robert Hendry, owner of Clever Energy, will work closely with the Solarwatt team to cater for the demand in the company’s PV systems, in particularly for its panel vision glass-glass solar modules, which come with a 30-year guarantee.
Hendry has worked in technical sales and distribution for more than 25 years, mostly in renewable energy, acquiring knowledge of off-grid systems and designing projects from social housing to large-scale rooftop and ground-mount systems.
In the new role, Hendry will work side by side with Solarwatt's Neal Goddard and Daniel Adamsbaum, primarily focussing on technical sales, PV and mounting systems, battery storage and EV charging, serving customers and partners in Scotland and North of England.
“Solarwatt has established a very strong position in the UK and Ireland through the quality, performance and reliability of its systems and the commitment and professionalism of its people. I am very happy to work alongside the team,” Hendry said.
Solarwatt established a new UK subsidiary in September 2021 in order to reinforce its presence in the market. In doing so, it established a UK office and warehouse in Surrey, and reshuffled its personnel with Daniel Adamsbaum joining Solarwatt Technologies as sales manager for the North.
The expansion followed a “huge summer” for the company, which saw it launch a new battery storage product developed in collaboration with BMW.
Dubbed the Solarwatt Battery Flex, the product is a modular storage device with the system able to expand from 4.8KWh to 240kWh through the stacking of up to eight battery packs and creation of up to 10 clusters.
